Mackerel Fishing Trips St Ives

This is a popular family-friendly trip and gives a good taster into fishing if it is your first time as well as a great fishing experience for the seasoned fisherman. We go where the fish are and will either head East or West from St Ives depending on the Skippers research and the tides at the time of your trip.

We supply all that you need for the fishing and use rod and line. The Skipper will show novices how to use the rods and help younger children make their catch. You are more than welcome to take home what you catch and if you wish to do so, please bring a carrier bag for us to put the fish in. Please also ask the Skipper for guidance on how to gut and fillet the fish if you need to.

Mackerel are super healthy and full of Omega 3. They taste delicious lightly salted and oiled cooked on the BBQ! They also show the most beautiful colours and pattern on their skin. 

We have also been known to catch cod, pollock and squid on our mackerel trips so you never know what might be on the hook!
